The Castillo hotel is located on a hill that is sighted from any point of the city, with some excellent visuals of Baracoa and its environment. The hotel is a historical place, its construction dates from the 18th century when it was an Spanish fortress called "Castle Ceboruco or Santa Bárbara" the fortress was built to defend the city from the attacks of corsairs and pirates, then it became the Rural Watch's general barracks until the victory of the revolution in 1959.

The Castillo hotel offers lodging, foods to the menu with a varied offer of typical plates of the town, snacks, national and international drinks, what makes it an ideal place very near of the city. The hotel has 62 rooms, distributed in 2 blocks of two floors; each room has a maximum capacity of 2 people.
